Jill Kaplan

Jill Kaplan enjoyed a corporate career focused on technology sales and marketing. She began her career as a semiconductor engineer for IBM but moved to the sales and marketing side early in her career. She held several executive positions at IBM and Cisco Systems where she focused on Go to Market and pipeline creation and conversion. Jill now focuses her efforts on developing and investing in the next generation of entrepreneurs. She is on the executive committee of xElle Ventures, an early stage fund for women founders; and a member of Triangle Angel Syndicate. Jill is also on the board of the University of Vermont Health Network Home Health and Hospice and the Alternative Investment Committee. She holds a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Tufts University and a master’s in material science from The University of Vermont. She divides her time between Burlington, VT and Pittsboro, N.C.
