Robert Seehausen

Bob Seehausen is an entrepreneurial healthcare executive with extensive experience at the intersection of payor strategy, provider revenue, and incentive models. He is well-versed in payor-provider revenue models, pricing strategy, value-based care, insurance and regulatory issues. Bob challenges the status quo and is energized when he has the opportunity to build strategies for business growth, new models of care, and joint ventures.
Bob led the team at Novant Health that developed payor relationships to become the largest ACOs nationally for UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare Advantage ACO and Cigna’s commercial ACO. He is a respected thought leader in ACA exchange strategies and in pricing strategy. Bob is a sought-after speaker and advisor on complex healthcare market issues and was a member of both the Cigna and United Healthcare national provider advisory boards.
Most recently at Novant Health, a $5.6b health system, Bob was SVP, Business Development and Sales (2001- 2020). He held full responsibility for negotiation and management of all payor relationships for facilities and over 2,500 employed providers including commercial, Medicare Advantage, Exchange and Medicaid market segments. His team developed pricing strategy and established charges for all facilities. Early success at Novant saw Bob leading physician network development, corporate strategic planning as well as certificate of need activities. He provided guidance to the CEO, CFO and the executive team in business development opportunities.
